It's not cheap,
longevity
2 years or 800 full charge cycles, whichever comes first. If the capacity of a module falls below 80% during this period, we replace that module. The reason we can make this promise is a design that does not strain the cell and a calibrated life model.
2 years warranty
It's not cheap,
longevity
Warranty: 2 years or 800 full charge cycles (whichever comes first), module will be replaced if capacity drops below 80% during this period. Lifespan analysis is based on the cell manufacturer's aging model calibrated with "80% in 500 cycles" data.
| Usage profile | capacity after 2 years |
|---|
- Cells are charged to 4.15 V instead of 4.20 V; This single setting extends cycle life by approximately 30%.
- Charging is not done above 45 °C (the cell manufacturer allows 60 °C), and not at all below 0 °C.
- The device, which has been left on charge for 72 hours without using the output, goes into desk mode and keeps the cells at 3.90 V.
- In Trio the current is divided into three modules; The load per cell decreases, heat and aging decrease.
- Only polymer and ceramic capacitors (no liquid electrolytics), 40 V FETs on the 25 V bus, ICs were chosen with at least 20% voltage margin.
- Cell, current and temperature protections are in three independent layers; Even if the software crashes, the hardware protects.
Scope
What does the warranty cover?
- Capacity drops below 80% (measured by health value on Kararti Link).
- Electronic faults: output, charging, USB-C ports, display, fan, BLE.
- Manufacturing defects in KX-Link cables and leads.
- Pack modules individually: each module has its own serial number and cycle counter.
out of scope
What doesn't it cover?
- Liquid contact, crushing, puncture, body opening.
- Cosmetic wear: scratches and anodizing fade.
- Damage caused by using a non-Kararti tip or cable.
Application via Kararti Link: the application automatically adds the health report and cycle number of the module to the application.
lifespan model
2 years later
what remains?
The aging model is calibrated to the cell manufacturer's "80% over 500 cycles" data and calculates both cycle aging and calendar aging (based on temperature and charge level). The results for the five usage profiles are in the table above. The most challenging is user Solo, who does two heavy sessions per day: his module only drops to 80% at ~930 cycles, so he's still above 80% at the 800 cycle warranty limit.
4.15V ceiling
Not filling the cell completely is the only setting that prolongs life the most. A difference of 50 mV leaves about 4–5% of the capacity, extending the cycle life by about 30%.
45 °C charging limit
The manufacturer allows charging up to 60 °C; we stop at 45 °C. Charging in the heat is the fastest way to age.
Wait at 3.90 V
After 72 hours on charge without using its output, the device lowers its cell voltage to 3.90 V. A FRAGWATT that stays connected at a desk retains 93% of its capacity after two years; without desk mode, the modeled value is 89%.
