CLIMAGUARD EV:
climate resilience research
Research on a small module that monitors the risk of condensation in electric vehicle electronics and software to reduce the energy consumption of the existing thermal system. Measurement and read-only decision support first, then verified control.

Measure, then decide
Keeping the BMS card dry and keeping the battery hot are separate problems. The success of each is measured by separate experiments.
reliability
condensation monitoring
Indoor air humidity, cold surface temperatures and water ingress are measured. The purpose is to test warning time and false alarms; no range gain is attributed to the protective coating.
Energy
Thermal decision support
OEM battery limits, route and heat demand are evaluated together. The first version does not send CAN control messages; generates suggestions and records.
Verification status: In the synthetic energy model, the optional heat storage showed benefit in only one in five scenarios. The results are not promises of range, battery life or patent innovation. Details and limitations in engineering.
